ABOUT REPUBLICAN REFORMIST
REDISCOVER OUR ROOTS.
RENEW OUR COMMITMENT.
Affirming Values. Strengthening Commitment. Demanding Accountability.
Why this publication exists
Republican Reformist is Dr. Jacobson G. Kliatchko’s personal initiative to help Republicans rediscover the roots of their party, understand its original principles and values, and renew their commitment to that inheritance.
We are not reinventing the Republican Party. Our task is rediscovery, understanding, recommitment, and revival: learning what the party’s founding principles mean and exploring how they can be put into practice in today’s political environment.
Rediscover. Recommit. Revive.
Rediscover: Study the party’s roots through founding documents, early platforms, speeches, and historical debates. Understand the meaning and circumstances of those arguments before invoking them.
Recommit: Help Republicans understand the principles they have inherited, examine their own commitments, and learn to uphold those values consistently in membership, leadership, and daily conduct.
Revive: Consider how those principles can guide responses to contemporary issues. Applying an inherited principle to a new circumstance requires careful judgment, evidence, and a clear explanation of the connection.
From roots to responsible practice
We will explore Republican thought and history, the relationship between freedom and responsibility, the importance of family and civic institutions, and the standards by which leadership should be judged. Historical essays should cite original sources where available and distinguish founding positions, subsequent developments, and the editor’s interpretation. Policy commentary should explain how the principle being invoked relates to the contemporary issue, so readers can assess that connection.
Our editorial standards
Commentary should distinguish facts, interpretations, and opinions. Criticism should address evidence and conduct, represent opposing arguments fairly, and apply standards consistently. Errors should be acknowledged and corrected clearly.
Republican Reformist is a Valuesman Media publication and a personal editorial initiative. Its commentary is not an official statement of the Republican Party, CRA, StanCRA, or any party committee. It does not claim to speak for every Republican.
Where it fits
Republican Reformist develops the principles and habits behind political judgment. StanWire applies a values-oriented lens to local news and events. Valuesman brings together the broader work of Dr. Kliatchko.
